A sudden burst of happiness
Triggered by coiled emotions
Compartmentalized whistles
Echoing through repeated dark, darker tunnels
In between the hazy, sunlit hills
My eyes saw through the grilled windows
Left and right
Amidst varied languages, dialect, smiles of different kinds
Voices with pitches low ad high
Squeaky and soft, husky and hoarse
Faces of various kinds,
Bodies of sizes a different
Vendors in maroon and blue
Asking or begging I struggle to understand
“bottle, bottle, cold water bottle”
Another dry parched throat yelling
“chai, chai, garam chai”
Employees on three day vacation
Rejoicing the free time, leisure
Clapping and snapping, discussing tales and jokes
Camera flash, videos in the making
In the blink of an eye, my eyes
Shift as the still feet
Wake up, their eyes jump to the left with screams of joy
…….my eyes turn
Fighting their way through the failing attempt one
Rushing back to my spot, to not
Fight but simply see what everyone is trying to
….my eyes to the most luck capture the beauty
Of the gushing, crystal clear, thin white strips
Flowing down with such turbulence….
..Spreading the wet joy
Over meters and heights
The cold breeze that sways us
The passing picture, frozen in my eyes
The sight to never forget
The experience to always remeber
